yummy shrimp

Postby camille49 » January 15th, 2006, 8:46 am

Today I took cooked frozen shrimp. I sprayed the pan with no stick and fried the shrimp for about 3 minutes just to heat them as they were already cooked. I then sprayed them with I can't believe its not butter herb and garlic. All I can say is Wow Wow Wow. It was the best. Tasted like high end shrimp scampi. It was wonderful. I added a couple of cups of green beans and I was in heaven.
Can we have cauliflower? Its not green but should be. Thanks,Camille

Hi Camille49!

Thanks for sharing that recipe. I may make that for my meal today. :D

Yes, you can have cauliflower. If you look at page 5 of the Quick Start book you will find the list. Cauliflower, along with other vegetables of multi color variety are alo listed.

Keep us posted on the next yummy dish you come up with!

Hi there,
yup Karma good is exactly right. Cauliflower is a great option for us. And thanks Karma for mentioning the Quick Start Manual -- it helps us all.

Shrimp??

Postby SexyMomma » January 18th, 2006, 9:11 am

Shrimp?? That sounds right up my & hubby's alley!! So how many shrimp are we allowed or how many oz. or whatever? How do we determine that if they are Jumbo or Medium or cocktail size?? HELP! I definitely want to make this for us - but don't want to go overboard!
Thanks!!

Sexymomma-

We are allowed to have 7oz of any seafood  and believe me it is more than you think-I just got back from the grocery store and while I was there I visited the seafood department and got 7oz shrimp 7oz scallops and 7oz fish so it is already premeasured for my meals :chef: It is also nice because while the rest of the family may have their beef I get yummy seafood!!

You can have 5oz of lean beef also if you prefer

Keep it shakin :bananadance:

Was that seafood raw or already cooked, Lisa? I hate to mess up your plans, but the Medifast weights are AFTER cooking. So if your shrimp weighed 7 ounces raw, you should probably have a bit more because it'll weigh a little less once it's cooked.

boiled cauliflower

Postby cynben » January 23rd, 2006, 2:08 pm

Boiled cauliflower is YUMMY! It has the consistency of runny mashed potatoes...a bit of onion boiled with it makes it even better! 1 1/2 cups of this is a LOT!
