Yet another new girl

Postby HalfOfChicka » May 14th, 2005, 10:58 am

I thought I'd jump in after reading the board for about an hour now.

I received my starter kit on Wednesday and today is my first official day on plan. I'm already amazed by just how big an 8oz shake is.. heh.

Each and every one of you is an inspiration to me. Keep up the great successes!

Hi Wendy!

Congrats on starting MF -- Like you I have 120+ pounds to loose. At times it seems a bit overwhelming, but after reading Success in A Shaker Jar I decided to follow their advice. Break it down into groups of 25. By having smaller goal the task of losing so much weight dosen't become your worst enemy. If your like me I think about how much I need to loose and before long I start to throw a pitty party for myself. In the past that would mean that I would immediately turn to food to comfort myself. Not now! I having to learn new ways to cope without food. I am on day 18 and am on the complete program of 6 shakes a day -- no food. So far I have lost 26.2 pounds. Since you have about the same weight to loose as me you should see a big loss the first week. I can't wait to hear all about your progress. Feel free to PM me if you want to talk or just need to vent. I am here for you!

Here is to a new skinny life!

Thanks, everyone! :D I tried to post last night, but I kept on getting an Invalid Session error?

bk... congratulations! I hope to get there in due time.

Yesterday wasn't too terrible.. heh. I had one more shake left for the night at 10pm.. do any of you worry about having one so late, or do you not watch time? Day one I had three shakes, a chicken noodle soup (that one didn't cook well according to the directions, but I've noticed that others let theirs soak for an hour before they nuke it. I'll try that next time.), and a fruit and nut bar.

Today was much better. I've had one shake, one bar, my lean and green meal, and then three shakes left for the night while I watch the Survivor finale. (Okay, not all of them during that time, but one will be a nice treat) Heh. I've had a mild headache all day, which I imagine is pretty typical at the very beginning of program, yes? Nothing unbearable, and I'm really not feeling hungry, so it's all good.

Thanks for the warm welcome. :)

Howdy, Wendy ~

My hunky hunny just brought my shaker cup of French Vaniller Berry Oatmeal and it is a few minutes after midnight - it's never too late for a Medifast Meal - never ever skip a meal - it pays to drink it all, every three hours.

Best wishes for your success! You can do it.

Nancy you are HARD CORE! You use a shaker cup for oatmeal too? I drink my shakes out of the cup but I make my oatmeal in a bowl after I measure the water in the cup. I guess you are just taking out an extra step...
