Hey Guys,

I finally made that OSO wonderful trip to the dry cleaners yesterday to have some slacks altered, and I still can't believe it. 6 inches lost from my waiste line alone  I just can't believe it's working and so easy. I use to fret when I didn't see the scale move and now I see it was the inches leaving and it never felt sooooo good. And here I am now 34 pounds lighter and just had my slacks taken up 6 inches. So for anyone out there in MF land just getting started or struggeling right now. Please don't give up. You will all soon make that OSO Wonderful trip too so hang in there you can all do it :D

Slacks Altered

Postby Jan » October 19th, 2005, 2:39 pm

Hi There,
You are one smart girl to head off to the dry cleaners to part with the extra 6" of fabric around the waist. I just wore my pants in the back yard and yup -- they fell off. !!

In a couple of months there won't be anything left of those slacks to alter.
Congrats! :toast: Jade

BumbleBee ~

Wowser! What a great story to share with us! - the excess fabric you're having cut off will soon be enough to create a whole new pair of pants in a smaller size! SIX inches is a LOT to lose around the waist!

Woweee Kazoowee..... :nana: 6 inches is totally amazing. :goteam: It always amazes me how little weight you need to loose to have your clothes fit better. And just think how happy you are making your heart.!!!! :exercise:

Right now all the pants I own have 360 elastic.... cause I can't stand anything pulling on me..... can't wait to throw those bad boys to the wind and march my little self in to Talbots and buy a pair of silk lined zipper, hippier, flattie fronts!! Told my husband.... "Mortgage the house baby " cause all this old stuff is going!!! ;) ;)

CeeCee ~

You will look like a doll in your Talbot's zip ups!
Start looking now - it will keep you focused to see how it will be when you slurp every two-three hours.

No, lookin' back for you, MamaD ~ you are going straight to your goal, letting NO THING distract you from those zip-ups!

The husband may need a second mortgage...

You are on your way to Thinsville!

:secret: My niece worked there and I have a couple of cutesy wootsies from there - a black wool pencil skirt that zips in the back and a pair of fully lined silk leopardy-type slacks - they have a champagne beige background with irregular-shaped spots - very chic chic slacks with a side zipper.
