How are you doing? Are you watching the scales go down?

How is your excercising coming along? I struggle with having the time to exercise, so I made a decision to walk 30 minutes on my lunch break 3-4 days a week. I got 4 days in this last week. I feel so much better.

I would love to hear how you are doing.

I'm so sorry I haven't gotten back to this. I'm doing fine Bonnie. Down 22.6 in ten weeks and I really really love this program. I'm not hungry and I truly believe the only thing that can stop me is if I let myself down. There is no reason to go off program, food solves nothing and I can do this. I went to a party sat. and I brought my own food. I'm going on vacation May14th and I'm bringing my own food. As long as there is a L&G, I'm fine.

I know it's been a very long time since I've taken the time to post in my journal but I received an e-mail from a wonderful person Twanda who wanted to know how I'm doing, which I thought was really sweet.

Things are better. Much of the mouth problems are gone and now I'm thinking stress is really responsible since I was going through a stressful period a few weeks ago and it seemed like my mouth was starting to act up. Can't believe that's my new stress symptom but I'll deal with it.

I'm down 44 pounds and having a problem kind of finishing off the weight loss but I'm not giving up. I've become sloppy probably because of all the compliments I am getting but I've put my head back on straight and I'm o.k. now. I'm at 151.2 and I want very much to break the 150 mark. I picked 145 as my goal even though MF had suggested 135 but let me get to 145 first and I'll see if any change is necessary. I've up the exercise this week and this new job location has me walking up the stairs at lunch - 175 steps to be exact, and that should help also.

This has been an unbelieveable experience for me. I went on a cruise in august and brought my own food with me. One of my friends thought I was nuts but I don't care what she thinks. I did what was best for me and my husband (who has not been totally supportive in the past) keeps telling me how proud he is of me and he tells everyone that I brought my own food and that he can't believe my determination this time.

My older son when he comes to visit tells me how young and beautiful I look and will actually e-mail me after a visit to repeat his thoughts.

Thanks MF for making me a believer again and for the confidence I'm getting back.

I feel good today.

Going away this weekend and my food is packed. Don't care what anyone thinks, it is my business and not theirs.

I'm proud of me and it has been so long since I could look at a mirror and not want to cry. Only problem I'm constantly buying new clothes (down from a tight 16 to a comfy 10).

Norma, you do have a journal (I told you I was famous for looking at something and not 'seeing' it :?).

I'm so glad you are still here, that you are being so successful on the program and I'm glad that you are sharing with us.

Hi Norma - congratulations on your progress! Since I still have a ways to go I am always happy to read about people who are almost there!

And what a great son you have! A lot of men are not so observant, supportive or willing to compliment. You must have raised him right! :D

Just got back from a mini vacation (a company sponsored seminar) and things went well. Being on MF just doesn't seem to interfer with my eating. It's easy and while some people look at you like you must be crazy, I don't care.

I haven't seen some of these people in over a year so I expected a lot of comments, however, I didn't expect the one where they asked me if I was sick. After awhile when I saw someone staring at me I would say, yes I have lost a lot of weight and no I'm not ill. Someone explained that these days it seemed like so many people have cancer it is difficult to say to someone you look like you lost a lot of weight and they say they are ill. I guess I could understand that but I know I don't look ill or too thin.

My super where I lived keeps asking me if I eat and I tell him I eat plenty and he said I look skinny. When I asked my son about that he said I am skinny compared to what I was and that he thought I look fine.

I figure as long as I feel fine, that's all that matters.

Love love love this journey. Love the friendships I've made and love that people actually care about you. MF was one of the best decisions I've made in years.

I'm hoping to break the 150 mark this week. Fingers crossed. I heard on the nurses telephone meeting that that having 4 drinks, 1 soup and your L&G will help move people along who have been staying at the same weight, I'm trying it this week. I'm hopeful.

ah thats frustrating. i think the reason i kinda fell off the wagon last year had a lot to do with peoples comments. Like if i felt sick, coworkers would be like, cuz ur not eating anything but those dumb shakes.

or comments that werent related to not feeling well, just "hows the powder diet going?" or that looks gross, or just alll these women at my job everytime im in the break room or outside on break with my fiance all coming up and asking me about it. i guess i got tired of feeling bombarded with all these questions, and the comments about the food looking gross or funny or whatever kinda upset me. idk if that seems weird. but thats what ur situation made me think about. just keep following through, your accomplishment is certainly nothing to sneeze at and we are all here for you if u need to vent about stuff :)

i probably should have done that before and not fallen off the wagon hehe

Thanks for the support. Believe me I'm not going to fall for the bull about looking too skinny. I'm 150 pounds there is no way I'm too skinny. I in this for the long haul and I will keep going and doing what I have to do especially surrounded by such wonderful friends.

Stay tough. I used to get those comments, too, but now that I've maintained for over a year, no one says anything disparaging about the packets I used to eat. Now they just comment on how fit I am or how much willpower I have.

And all those people who thought you lost weight because you were sick must not have noticed that you were eating out of packets. So not EVERYone was looking at you like you were crazy, right?

Well it looks like the weight may be starting to move again. I'm wondering if it's because I listened in the nurses call and did what someone recommended which was to have 4 shakes 1 soup and the lean and green. If that worked then great.

Getting ready for vacation - soon thank heavens. I need it badly. Intend to take food with me but I don't think it's going to be as easy as it was on the last vacation - a cruise. First part of the trip at Disney should be interesting to see how I do, second part which is another cruise will be good since I did it before.

I've been thinking about transition and maintenance. I've decided by the beginning of January 2008 I'm going to start transition. I believe I'll be at goal by then. I think I'm afraid to make that decision, this is so easy for me to just pick up a pack and make myself something to eat but I guess I'll have to deal with the real world sooner or later.

It's been awhile since I've posted but I am and still a current MF follower. I reached my initial goal of 145 but decided to go for 140.

It's taking me awhile to get there and I still haven't made that number but I am thrilled beyond belief.

I went on a vacation to Disney last month and a cruise to the Bahamas and actually came back two pounds lighter. I love this program. I may not always respond to posts but I read them everyday.

I will always stay connected with MF and I think that will help me along my journey.

My husband and friends have been so supportive, much more then I ever thought possible. My husband says it's because he realized I was very serious this time about following the program and is always telling me how beautiful and proud he is of me. I can't tell you how many people he told that we went on two cruises and I brought my own food along.

Here's hoping I reach that 140 by the end of the year because starting January I am going to transition.
