Words to Live By While on the Program

Postby smartipantz » June 26th, 2006, 9:44 pm

I heard this saying the other day and I'll never forget it as it speaks directly to all of us living day by day on this program. I thought I'd share it with all of you and maybe it's something you can live by as well.

Don't sacrifice the thing you want the most for something you want at the moment.

Doesn't that just hit home. We all want to reach our goal however we battle the food demon on a daily basis. Our goal weight is what we want the most..... the temptations are all something we want at the moment. Those temptations come and go and compromise our success in reaching our goal.

I believe if we just keep thinking about what we want the most, we can be successful at anything.

Hi

Postby dede4wd » June 27th, 2006, 12:59 pm

Thinking of having it tattooed backwards on my forehead so I can see it in the mirror!

Okay, a bit extreme, I guess I'm trying to say I like it!

Hi there,
You sure got that right. :D Now we could all just practice saying it out loud to ourselves every morning to get it planted firmly in our brain. Maybe that would help us avoid those tasty tempting "no goods" :D

Elke,

I heard it from a friend and you are probably right. If I'm sued for trademark infringement, will all of you front up some money to get me outta court? Maybe we can pay them off with Medifast products.

Smarti :)

I was browsing the forum and ran across your words of wisdom. What a great saying. I love it.
