Worcestershire Sauce

Postby GucciGoo » May 2nd, 2006, 7:51 am

I have not seen the answer to this anywhere. I love worcestershire sauce on my mushrooms- I was planning a night of faux Chicken Marsala- baked chicken with the mushrooms and sauce over it.... Please tell me I can use it!!!

I have a bottle at home, I will check the label. If I am not mistaken I believe that it contains sugar. If sugar is in the ingredients then you cannot have it.

I use worestershire in my soups and still would lose. I was only useing a few splashes though. My bottle says 5 calories and 1 carb for 1 tsp. That is probably a bit high if you wanted to use a lot, but for just a splash you might be ok. It does have sugar products in it, mine listed molasas and high fructose corn syrup.
