Woah. I weigh 20 pounds more than I thought.

I always thought that my scale was weighing me too low. I accidently broke it last night and bought a new one today. At that point, I realized that I was correct, it was weighing me 20 pounds less than I should have been.

Granted, I've lost the same amount of weight, because I've used the same scale since I started...but I had to adjust some of my info to account for it.

I'm not really that bothered though, since I've lost the same weight. I would have realized that the scale was wrong when I hit my "goal" anyway.

Anyway, that's the reason for the change in my numbers below. I know the scale has been accurate with the weight lost though, because the last time I went to the doctor, I weighed exactly 20 pounds more than my scale said, and that was three months ago. I don't know I thought that the doctors scale was wrong and mine was right.

In positive news, I bought the most manly scale I've ever seen. Titanium!

I was tempted to stay in denial. After I broke it, it actually started weighing me even lower. When I stepped on it this morning, it said that I was down to 230 (actual weight, 285).

Ehh, I don't really see anything to be upset about. I've still lost the same amount of weight and I still look the same. I'm more healthy than I've been since high school and I still look pretty damn sexy (then again, I looked pretty sexy, even when I was much bigger).

Aw you tell us you look damn sexy yet refuse to show a picture! TEASE!

Anyway.. I'd probably still be upset. When it happened to me it was thankfully early in the process, but I still had to constantly tell myself it was okay. I was still losing the weight and in the end it would all work out. But I get hung up on the numbers. Way more than my clothing size which I am also hung up on.

I was hung up on the weight until the last time I went to the store. I had been wearing pants that were only one size lower than I thought, so I expected to only drop another size...which, for 90-100 pounds, two sizes isn't that impressive. What I realized, was that I had actually dropped three additional sizes and for the first time in probably 8-9 years, I was able to shop in the "normal people" section. After that, I wasn't really that concerned about the actual weight.
