No "wingage" for me!

Postby KeleeGrl » August 12th, 2005, 8:08 am

I'm not sure if I've mentioned this before, but I bartend :toast: two nights a week and Wednesday's is Chicken Wing night :turkey: (its the closest I could find to a chicken)......all the wings and beer you can eat and drink. Well we have the best wings around and you would think I would get sick of the smell, but I don't they are very tasty. It just goes to show that I definitely am back on the wagon. I did not eat one wing....I smelled like one, but there was no wingage inside this here bod. Those two nights are so hard for me. Thursday is Thirsty Thursday :water:..okay so its not beer...anyways that is only difficult because it is such a long night....I'm there from 7-1:15a.m....so I had my chili before I went which was my 5 and later while at work I had my 1... chicken spiedie salad...that way I didn't want to pick at the leftover fries, chicken tenders...etc. I just wanted to let you know how good it felt not to go off program and how much easier it is when you plan ahead.

Good for you! I think that is great. Like someone pointed out --the smell is the best part anyway, so you had the best part and it didn't end up on your thighs... ;)

Woo Hoo! That is awesome! GOOD FOR YOU!

I personally hate chicken wings, (DH loves them so he could sypmathize with you...) so I can resist them any old day of the week. Give me a good white meat breast any day over a greasy wing!!!

You did fantastic!

KeleeGrl ~

Great example to us about what can be done when a person is truly committed to the program. You prepared in advance, too - a key element to success!

Since you work a very long day, perhaps you should consider having an extra packet - you may need the extra food. Remember, a shake adds only 90 calories and yet it might be what you need to maintain your energy for the long day at work.
