Thought I would jump in here for a quick update. For those of you that are new and stumble across this thread...my apologies up front. For those that are looking for Random Thoughts...just scroll past the drivel they are in the usual spot. And for those that read every word...I am sure there is a support group somewhere that will take you in.
Anyway here goes...
Been a while since I have exercised my fingers and posted in my journal. I know you have not seen my posts anywhere else on the board, but I do lurk and try to keep up a little, but it is tough to do some weeks. Life sure hasn't slowed down much these past few months, kids in school, extracurricular activities seemingly every night of the week and twice on weekends. The house projects, yard projects, leaves that won't @#%&$&@# quit falling. Oh and let's not forget the grass that still needs to be cut because whatever strain of Kentucky Blue Grass I have in my yard laughs at frost and continues to keep pushing up. And now we move into a big weekend.....Halloween, which around my house is as big as the other major holiday....no... not Thanksgiving....I am talking about Christmas. We are throwing not one but TWO parties this year for the kids, and then there is Halloween night to contend with. Which means that there is plenty of opportunity to fill up on bite sized pieces of candy....cause as we all know, just one little eensy weensy little bite sized snickers won't derail us from our goal...maybe not one...but the whole bag will definitely do some serious damage.
Well, the whole diet thing keeps rolling along for me as I move up on the century mark. I am officially at 96 down and am still going strong headed into the holiday season. To try and help me through the toughest time of the year I have enlisted 16 people at work and we have gone into two teams to do our own version of a holiday season biggest loser contest. I feel that this may help me stay the course through the holidays.
Once I hit the magic 100 I will update my studio pics....sorry Jo, if you are reading the speedo is retired for the year
Random Thoughts....
-Now when I step on the scale it doesn't say "one at a time please."
-I can now shop at stores whose name doesn't include Big and Tall.
-While my thighs still rub together I am no longer afraid of spontaneous combustion.
-Does anyone else hold up a piece of clothing before they put it on and think that is way too small yet it fits perfectly? One of my favorite NSV's!
Anyway kids...that's all there is today, except to say
That my muffin tops are still shrinking!
See you in the funny papers!
