Sunday...
the weekend is almost over tand the daily grind will continue tomorrow. Compliance can always be an issue on the weekends. Hey let's go out to dinner, go to a movie, how about a ball game. Which translates to Oohh...let's try the new chinese buffet, pig out out over priced pop corn drenched with a buttery substance with more trans fats that I can count...and did anyone say ball park franks with stadium mustard and onions. 4 of those should be enough warm me up for a couple of pretzels and an order of nacho's. Oh yeah...need the bag of peanuts to go along with that as well.
I am sure many of you can relate. weekends aren't the easiest but if you want it bad enough you can stay compliant. I went to a minor league baseball game last night with all of my family and all the in-law's, nephew's and niece's to celebrate on of their birthday's. 2 - $3 bottle's of water was my only consumption. Now I did cheat a little last night. I took one of the mother's little helpers that my physician prescribed in order to help curb my appetite. Which in reality I am not sure why I even used it. Cause having a full stomach never stopped me from going back up for another ball park frank before. My mantra was that you "eat through the pain!"
Anyway...so far I am making it through the weekend unscathed. Have a little yellow fin tuna with fresh asparagus waiting for me in the fridge for dinner, and I am sipping on a shake right now to tide me over until then.
Random thoughts...
While watching the baseball game last night I saw numerous helicopters land and take off from the nearby Children's Hospital. My youngest son also saw the helicopter's and said that he wants to ride in a helicopter some day. I silently whispered a prayer to myself that he never gets to ride in THOSE helicopters.
Incredible that the guys I watched play baseball last night probably scrape by on next to nothing. Yet the ball park charged the same priice for concessions like I was watching guys making millions a year! Something doesn't seem right.
Anytime I am channel surfing and "Hunt for Red October" is on I will watch it. Alec Baldwin was still the best Jack Ryan.
Anyone ever look forward to a rainy day?...I cleaned more "fat" clothes out of my closet today!
Which means....
My muffin tops are shrinking!
