Why 3 shakes?

Postby MomsTherapy » July 6th, 2005, 9:29 am

Why does 3 of your 6 (or however many) meals have to be shakes? I'm just curious as to why you HAVE to have three shakes and not just ANY of the meals mixed. I know they have the least calories of the meal replacements; Is that why?

Thanks!

I read somewhere on this forum that it no longer has to be 3 shakes a day. You can use whatever combo of meal replacements you want, but it is still only 1 bar per day. I think I saw it under "a message from your hosts" or the "Questions" forum.

70 is right.
While the protocol used to be a minimum of 3 shakes, it has since changed. Any 5 supplements (or 6 if you are on the complete plan) with the only caveat being: only one bar due to higher carb and calorie content. So, if you want to eat 5 oatmeals, go for it. [The fast soups and the crackers are extras.]
Good luck!

see this link http://www.makemethinner.com/forum/diet-1936.html

At one time, there was concern that people would not get enough of the recommended daily vitamin and mineral intake from heated products but research and continued clinicals have shown any combo of 5 products (hot or cold or a combo of either) meet our dietary needs.

I still stand by my totally unscientific but personal observation and probably faulty assumption that since the shakes have the greatest amount of soy protein per item that they help wih hunger issues because soy has natural appetite suppression qualities...
