WHO AM I?????

Postby gillian » May 16th, 2007, 8:08 pm

Holy toledo. Hi. After much debate with myself, I had to get a real job. (My business has not made money in a while, and the political stuff is done for now...)The kind where I work real hours, get up at the crack of dawn, and sit in traffic at 5 or 6pm when all of Las VEgas is going the same direction. (That is where i have been- 12 hours a day... not allowed on line there) I ended up going back into collections/call center stuff. The first couple of days were pretty strange- My first day, I saw a girl I had worked with for about two years. (two years ago) WE WERE RELATIONAL at the other job. Buddies, went to lunch and coffee breaks... always talked at work- you know, well, she walked in late, I got excited and waved at her... she looked at me like I was some kind of freak!!! I waited until break and went over- DUDE!!! She did not even reconize me!! I had to tell her who I was! The next few days were like that... I ended up re-introducing myself to the people I knew and liked from past jobs, and could easily walk by the opnes I had never cared for from before. (They know who I am now) But... I just wanted to share. It is pretty cool stuff. Good to see you all btw!!! Oh. Proud of you Biki. You look great.

Thanks Gillian. It wasn't that dramatic but I had a woman not recognize me at the beauty supply store (buying purple hair dye ) She used to own a bar I went into to...I said hello and told her I used to be one of her regulars, and she drew a blank. I told her my name and she said "I would have never recognized you!" After that she remembered my husband's name and asked about him and what he was doing. It is just she had no idea who I was!

Gillian, that is an awesome NSV! :D Sorry you had to go back into the working world (working for others)...but it sounds like you have a great attitude about it and I hope it will be enjoyable to become reaquainted with old friends.

money is good...

Postby gillian » May 19th, 2007, 2:04 pm

Yeah, working 50 hours a week kinda sucks, but I DID get my first check yesterday, and that was nice... The wierd thing is, after I went back to work, I got more calls for Chocolate Fountains, then I have in months. It is crazy, now I am just looking at it as a supplement to my "real" income, and it will allow me to finish up my medifast deal... 40 more until maintence (however you spell it) Hey!!! If anyone sees my HA Martin, ask him to call me. I wanna order, and I can't find his number AGAIN...

How awesome is that (with the exception of the girl looking at you like you were a freak!)? I'm so glad that happened!

Are those the type of fountains they use at buffets on the fondue table? When we used to go to the Ritz-Carlton for Thanksgiving I always had this wildly inappropriate impulse to stick my face in it.
