I've never understood why people (women especially) are so very interested in what other people eat or choose not to eat. It does not seem to matter if the person in question is small or large, someeone always seems to have some interest or concern as to what others eat or do not eat. I will never understand what drives people to question adults as if they were of pre-school age. Grown adults seem perfectly comfortable with asking another adult why they are not eating. I find that behavior intrusive even if the person is only asking out of kindness. Would one consider it proper to enquire why someone was going to the bathroom (or not going to the bathroom), making a telephone call (or not making a telephone call), etc? I personally could care less why someone is eating a certain dish or not having lunch.
