I'm not sure I understand the question. You mean if you can have the yoggurt with pieces of fruit inside? Or if you can add a fruit to some low-fat yogurt?
What I'm doing is I have a fat-free, low carbs yogurt, favorite flavor is peach (little pieces of fruit in them), and it's only 45 cal (7g carbs) for 125 g of yoggurt. Since transition ended, I also add 3/4 cup of wheat cereal (80 cal, 12g carbs), and it's really a delicious collation. My favorite these days!!!
My guess though if you mean adding a fruit to the portion, yes it must take away that fruit you can have for a day.
On maintenance though, I don't think it's a problem to add a second fruit to one day, or if you prefer, you can cut the fruit in half!
If you mean having yoggurt WITH fruits already inside, I guess it goes down to counting the carbs for the day. I checked some yogurt back at the grocery store yesterday, and some have fruits inside and are way too loaded in carbs for my tastes. Some others are actually healthier than standard yogurts though.
What I'd do is either one of these (maintenance):
1. Have a low-carb, fat free yogourt and add a fruit inside (+ the fruit for the day).
2. Have a "normal" carb, low-fat yogurt with pieces of fruit in it.
Hope that answers your question!!
