When will the weight loss slow down?

Postby Elimatal » October 5th, 2005, 8:13 am

NOT that I'm complaining, b/c I'm not, but I'm just curious, I'm on day 5 of the MF diet, and have lost 6 pounds so far.....when does the weight loss slow down to a few pounds a week as opposed to 6 or more? I'm just curious, I'd like to know so I can be ready to be happy with a few pounds as opposed to several, so I don't think it's something I'm doing wrong that is halting the weight loss process. Thanks!

Elimatal-

Welcome to the world of Medifast. The first week in is usually a pretty HUGE week for the scale. About half of what your scale is reading the first week is water weight. A lower number is a lower number so no complaints are ever heard. My first week I was down 12 lbs -- so I figured it was really about 6 lbs and still that was a little unbelievable.

Everyone looses at their own pace and your body will adjust and even itself out in the first few weeks. You may want to get a strap or put your scale near something for you to hold onto because the numbers will continue to drop.....we don't want you falling off the scale in disbelief.

Enjoy the ride, it is wild but a controlled wild. Congrats on the shaking!

"we don't want you falling off the scale in disbelief." :roflmao: She is right. There have been times I am shouting and everyone comes running thinking there is something wrong..LOL It might slow down a little, but some times you may actually loose more than you did your first week along the way.. I notice I have a big week, small week, small week, medium week, small week, big week. Does that make sense?
