Those are pretty personal questions. Most people have a ticker showing how much they intend to lose. If you need more inspiration/information than that, my suggestion would be to pm a few people that post regularly.

I didn't think it was a big deal.

if you find its too personal that you don't need to respond but if anyone feels like sharing then thats great!

If my starting weight was 166, I'd be sharing my stats too!! :roflmao: Most of us have serious weight to lose and have been overweight most of our lives and this is a very sensitive subject for most of us. So, I think anonmous was just saying you may have better luck getting pm responses than getting people to broadcast it here.

Well, as for motivation, I can tell you this: Medifast is, BY FAR, the most effective way I have ever lost weight. As in, the fastest. And the best I have felt, energy and health-wise. I lose regularly 3 pounds a week on it, sometimes a bit more... but at least 3.

I've tried lots of diets: Weight Watchers, Atkins, South Beach, Intuitive Eating... and Medifast is the one I like the most.

My info - if it helps you -
Began: 1/26/06
Start: 228
Current: 216.5 (down 11.5)*
*but I've slipped up several times ;)
Goal: 158
(or maybe 140... we shall see!)
Height: 5'8"
Lowest weight: 156 (07/01, on Weight Watchers)
*as a grown-up
*hard to believe I was 4 pounds something at birth!
Highest ever: 228 (1/26/06)

I understand

Postby hollyhouse » March 10th, 2006, 2:13 pm

what your saying musical momma. But i consider my weight problem just as severe as anyone elses.
Believe me i am just as sensitive!
If we were face to face in person i would never be asking or telling this. i think being on the internet feels a bit more private.

especially since i have someone telling me how gross my weight is on a daily basis. It doesn't make it any easier. 166 or 500 its all the same problem.

Thank you all for your support!

Holly

If there is someone in your life telling you that on a daily basis might I suggest getting that person OUT OF YOUR LIFE!!!!! That is verbal abuse and while you may want to lose more weight you are in no way grossly obese I am 5 '5 and when I weighed 153 I looked actually quite normal.

I'm sorry if I was being insensitive Holly. It's just that, I dream of they day I am 166. I'm sure your weight does bother you just as much as mine bothers me, maybe more so. Now that I'm a little older and hopefully wiser, I no longer desire a "model" body, just a healthy body and if look nice in a pair of jeans, that's a bonus. It is hard for someone like me, who was a fat baby, fat kid, fat teen, fat adult, to empathise with someone that I would consider to be at a healthy weight already. However, that's no excuse for being insensitive to your pain. I apologize if I hurt your feelings.

Image That was cute!

I'm brand spanking new to Medifast...just ordered my stuff today. So...I haven't begun yet. I weigh 250 lbs and I'm 5'3". I haven't a clue what my goal weight is yet. I'm thinking I'll go for 150 (a loooong ways off, I know) and go from there.

First of all I'm sorry that you're having to deal without someone so horrible. You're not really overweight..so for someone to call you fat and gross is just not kosher.

I think you're getting the reaction your getting because many of us on here are not close to our goal...we're REALLY far away and many of us aren't aiming as low as your starting weight...that you can't stand. I know I have a hard time understanding that you think you're fat at 153...when I would be doing backflips if I even come close to that. I know you probably don't get what I'm saying.....It's like we're driving around in an old beat up station wagon and you're driving around in a Porsche and you don't see it.

Someone is telling you're GROSS at 153 and 5'5"!? I have no idea what you look like but I'm going to say NOT!

Let's see, a similiar weight on me would be 167. I certainly did not feel gross at that weight - a bit chubby maybe - but gross? I am so sorry you have someone in your life who is saying that to you!

Yes, most of us have more weight to lose than you, but I support you 100% :)

However, I do have to say that 166 or 500 is not the same problem in my book ;) Once is very near death, the other is pudgy. (But both can definitely be helped by Medifast!)

Best of luck to you...
