What's Better?

Postby mini me » April 5th, 2006, 7:01 pm

Eating your meals closer together or farther apart? I'm asking because it's becoming clear to me that there will be times at work where I'm in a meeting at my 3 hour mark. I've been trying to do 3 hours in between, but sometimes I either have to do 2 hours (before the meeting) or 4 hours (after) Is there one way that's better than the other? Probably a dumb questions, but I want to do everything I can to succeed with MF.

Hi Mini Me! That's not a stupid question at all :) You can eat 2 hours apart if necessary, but never go more than four hours because that could send you into the hungries which leads to binge eating

Hi

I agree with Joyce! If you go more than four (at least for me), I want ANYTHING, EVERYTHING>>>NOW! Just avoid that if you can, and you'll be fine. What's important is that you space out your supplements over the day so you're not ravenous at night!

Good luck!

yeah, i've gone up to four and a half, but not intentionally (dinner took longer to cook than i expected, or i stayed out longer than planned). i was ok, but i wouldn't ever do it on purpose.

time between meals

Postby Jan » April 5th, 2006, 10:28 pm

I find that when I let myself go toooo long between meals during the day then the hungries hit me in the evening. :x I think it's most likely because I didn't get in a high enough calorie count during the day.
