My boss is getting married tomorrow, and of course, all of my nicer clothes are way too big for me now, so I had to go shopping today for a new skirt to wear tomorrow.

I went to Avenue, and went to the big girls side and pulled a size 16 pant off the rack, (I started in a size 20/22), just to see where to start. Went into the dressing room while my dh sat down in the outer area to await my return, and then it happened. I shreiked with glee... <img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/36/36_19_2.gif' border=0>

The 16's were too big.... I almost fell out of the room. I cannot remember the last time I felt that good in the dressing room of a clothing store... <img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/36/36_1_33.gif' border=0>

I went over to the Miss's side and got a size 14 skirt and it fit, Needless to say, I bought for the first time in over 6 years, a real size 14.... Not a woman's size, but a misses... and it does not have elastic... It has a real zipper and everything. I am elated.... Everyone in that store knew that I was excited too... I think I kinda embarrassed my dh, but he was also proud, I could see it in his face........

Well, how cool for you. Twenty pounds and a drop that quickly in dress size...amazing

You will be shopping again in no time since all of these new clothes will be falling off once again. What a good reason to shop, huh? :lol:

I'm so glad you had one of "those" moments. It's so awesome that you embarassed your DH and scared the other shoppers with a happy shreik! YAY! Glad you had fun! I'm sure you look GREAT in your new skirt!

Whoooo Hoooo Terri,
Now be careful -- in not toooo long that size 14 is going to be toooo big too!!!! Remember me -- the one whose pants fell right off -- at least it was in my backyard. My neighbors (I'm sure) confirmed in their minds that I must be crazy because I toooo reacted with pure joy :mrgreen:
