My Weight Loss Check in....

Postby She2chat » April 4th, 2006, 8:48 pm

OK.. I'm even more excited this week!!!

I had to double check the scale, and I weigh at the Dr.s office every week....

Another 7 pounds lost. No one can say its water weight now!!!! :water:

I'm almost in the 30 pound club.. Here I come!!! :drive:

I called my health advisor to share.. I was just so thrilled! Funny, I didn't feel 7lbs lighter.. gotta get a measuring tape.. I have a bunch of clothes that I simply can no longer wear!!!!! YEAH@!!!!

However, I was just layed off my job, so I will be buying things as I need them from Goodwill etc.. At least thats a cheaper alternative.. lol

That's awesome, Sheila. Sorry about the job, though. But there ARE studies showing you're more likely to be hired if you're thinner and more attractive, so at least you're ahead on that score.

Hurrah for pounds that are melting off! Isn't it exciting to see the progress?

Sorry to hear about the job - hopefully something even better will turn up. I lost my job last year, and it was really, really tough (mentally AND financially), but where I am now . . . it just turned out to be a bigger blessing than I could possibly imagine. And the place that let me go is now going down the tubes (I really do try hard not to take any sort of twisted pleasure in that fact ;) ). So I earnestly hope that the best for you is yet to come.

Have you looked into the career opportunities that Take Shape for Life has to offer? Take a look in the "Career Opportunities" section of the forum (right above "Lean Cuisine"), and see if that's something that might interest you. Ask your own Health Advisor about it, also, he/she would be able to give you lots of information.

Keep shaking - you're doing great!

Thank you everyone for all your support!!

I haven't had a problem finding a job because of my weight, but I certainly have more energy now.

I figure that God must have a plan for another position for me. I prayed about the last one and got it, I believe that this new position (whatever it is) was just not open at the time. I'm leaving it to God and remaining positive. A little harder to pay for Medi, but that's ok..

I appreciate all the good wishes and WTG's.. I've never had this kind of encouragement before!

THANKS!!

I plan on doing that anyway. I'm not spending a lot of money on clothes that I only plan to wear for a month or two at the most.

Do they have Saver's there where you live? It's a used clothing department store. I LOVE it. Not only do I shop cheap while I'm "between sizes", but I also trade in my BIIIIGGGG clothing for credit for new stuff (by the pound...tee hee!)
