Hi,
I'm Patty
I am new to medifast and started 2 weeks ago this coming tuesday.

I started when i saw how much weight my boss had lost in only 6 weeks.
( and she didnt have that much to lose maybe 35 lbs and she had lost 16 in 5 weeks)

I tried every diet out there ( cabbage soup was the worst ) this has been the EASIEST diet I have ever been on ( after the first 3 days )

My problem now though it seems is to remember to eat ..in the morning especially and alot of times when it is time to eat i am not hungry
how much is it hurting my weight loss if i forget and when i rememebr it is after 3 hours and it messes up my whole schedule?
Its funny because when i started this i would watch the clock for the next meal and now i cant even remember to eat.

From time to time these things happen. When it happens to me, I just space the rest of my supplements a little closer so that I can be sure to get them all in.

Yes, I forget to eat, too......especially when I'm involved at work or in a project at home.

Just pick up where you left off and remember that its very important to get them all in.

Edited to add: I haven't been hungry for a year. You can't go by that with this program because part of the magic is that you lose the hungries.

I get busy at work too
I just dont want to slow down my progress by not eating enough.
so many other diets you end up eating to much
this takes some getting used to ...but it sure is nice to not be hungry

Hi

Postby dede4wd » October 16th, 2006, 3:29 pm

Hi Patty,
Glad you found us! I'm the same way, I'm in the zone and completely forget to eat. People may laugh at this, but I set the alarm on my cell phone every 3 hours to "remind" myself. If someone had told me earlier this year that I'd have to set an alarm to remind myself to eat, I would've tried to sell them the Brooklyn Bridge!

Glad you're doing well and glad you're shakin' with us!

Hi Patty,
Hmmmm here I am "the bearer of the sad news". You will stall your program if you do not eat all the required meals. The reason is this is a medical program.. designed to allow you to part with the pounds in the safest and fastest way possible. :D The calories have been cut to the very minimum needed to fuel your body. Every calorie counts. If you do not eat alllll your meals you are not getting enough calories. That will put your body into "starvation" mode -- that's just the way we are designed - and your body will refuse to part with anything. It's a survival thing.
Please eat everything. If you need to set a timer do.. some of my clients do that.. Or, if you are having trouble getting everything in during your waking hours.. you can put them a bit closer together -- 2 to 2 1/2 hours apart. You'll do fine.

Patty, I am new to this also (don't even have my food yet!) just COMPLETELY excited about it!
What do you mean by "weight tracker things"??
I love keeping up with my progress as it makes me accountable to myself and would LOVE anything on the computer that can help with that!
Thanks ~ and welcome!
