1 week down

Postby mini me » April 10th, 2006, 10:42 am

1 week anniversary today. I weighed myself this morning and I've actually lost 14lbs. I keep getting on the scale because I can't believe it's true -- I think I've weiged myself about 15 times so far LOL. At one point I even put a 5lb. bag of sugar on the scale to make sure it was reading properly -- it was! I can't tell you all how HAPPY I am and how much this loss counts towards motivating me for the next week. It's so awesome -- and you guys have all been a really great source of support, advice and encouragement. Thanks so much!

Great first week and I stole you idea of weighing a bag of sugar (I had to use flour as I have no sugar in my house) but it did not work my elevtric scale would not measure that low.:(

Oh well I will just stick with my scale and trust that it means what it says

Congrats mini!! I'm struggling thru the first week (day two) and I can only dream of seeing a 14 lb weightloss. Yes everyone, I know that is not typical so don't get my hopes up too high, yada, yada, yada. But without dreams, where would we be? Actually, without dreams, we all wouldn't be in this forum now would we? Once again, great job!! and good luck on your second week, I hear it keeps getting easier.

Actually, Medifast says the *typical* weight loss is 2-5 pounds per week, and that is holding true for me and it sure looks like for everyone else who doesn't cheat. :)

Look at my tracker!! My ant is running!!!. I bit the bullet and stepped on the scale this morning (day 4). A 3.5lb loss!! I am being optimistic because I know that might be all i get for the week or it might go up a little to only 2 lbs. lost. But as we say, a loss is a loss.

I've been waiting for your ant to get moving. Way to go. I was most excited when I when my start and current weight got far enough apart so they didn't look like one BIG number anymore. I think I achieved that today!! Well....pretty close, I'd say, huh?
