Week 1 complete!

Postby Wynslett » July 21st, 2007, 8:34 pm

Well, I did it. I completed week 1! Didn't think I was going to make it, and doubted my efforts the entire time. I've failed at so many attempts to lose weight, I kept thinking why would this time be any different, but I stuck with it and lost 5.....yes, I said 5 pounds!!!!!!!!!! That's a pretty good start I'd say. I'm finding I don't like a lot of the foods and as much as I try to doctor up the stuff, it's still not to my liking. I could eat the chocolate pudding all day however, but my husband said that's probably not the best way to go. LOL Blended up shakes in the blender with ice is pretty ok too. I bought some rootbeer extract and I'm going to have a "rootbeer float" made with a vanilla shake later. I'm kinda excited about that. Well, wish me luck, I still have my doubts, but 1 day at a time for me is how this has to be done! Thanks for listening.

Congrats on your first week!

If you drink diet soda, try diet A & W root beer with a vanilla shake. Just mix up the shake with a very small amount of water first to get all the lumps out- then slowly add the root beer and stir gently as you add. Mmmm good! Try it with diet orange soda for the Dreamsicle effect!

Happy week 2!

Congrats on the 5 lbs Wynslett!!
As far as eating pudding all day ~ there's absolutely no reason that you can't do that if you really wanted to...
Really, the only drawback would be that you might become bored with it. Nutritionally, all the supplements are pretty
much the same, so it's really not JUST chocolate pudding, y'know?
Hey ~ whatever gets you through the day, IMO.
Anyhoo.......congrats, LOSER!!
:D

Thanks everyone. Today has been a good day. I ordered 6 boxes of pudding and 3 boxes of chicken noodle soup....so far they are my top two favorites. I also ordered a few things that I have not tried yet, so I'm definately sticking with this. Hubby took me out to dinner tonight for our anniversary. As much as everything seemed so tempting to me, I ordered a Chef's Salad and immediately asked for a to go box and put half of the salad in there to take home for tomorrow. I had my dressing on the side and dipped my fork in it with every other bite. I passed on the bread and soup that came with the meal  , so hubby was full by dinner's end as he ate it along with his meal....LOL. He's 6'1" and 180, so he can eat up for all I care!!! He told me how proud he was of me for sticking with this and he's positive that I will see it through until I reach my goal this time. I truly hope I can! :idontknow: Thanks everyone for your words of encouragement. For a newbie with doubts, you all are shining stars!!!
