Wedding Band Hazard

Postby big ron » March 9th, 2006, 7:11 am

Well in a prior post I was Joking about my wedding band being loose. Well I lost it. :dooh: I travel allot and stay in hotels and last week I noticed it was gone. I think I must have lost it in the shower or in bed?? :idontknow: I guess these are the hazards of weightloss. I have to be nice to my wife now, she actually felt bad but then laughed about it. She has our original wedding band from 20 years ago that she is waiting for it to fit me. A new goal??

keep shaking everyone Ron

P.S. the pants will be next to fall off :roflmao:

Oh no Ron!!! That's horrible! But sounds like you have a plan......... to fit into your original ring..... that's the most important one anyway! Getting close?

I worry about the ring thing. I'd be devastated if I lost my wedding ring and I'm sure my hubby would have my hide (wonder if he could take another 30 pounds from my hide???? hmmmm)

I guess this is just a hint of things to come for those of us battling the bulge.

Mental note: Need new clothes and get rings sized when they start turning on your finger.

Sorry you had to go through that. By the way, you are doing GREAT!!!!

Wow, Ron, let's hope that if you lose your pants, you'll notice faster than you did your ring - or you could be arrested for indecent exposure!

It's all good...

Hi Ron,

So sorry to hear about your wedding ring. Maybe you and your dear wife can renew your vows with a new ring?

My husband lost his wedding ring twice and found it both times. Once, he had lost a lot of weight like yourself, we were at the beach and sure enough the combination of suntan lotion and a couple of frosty beverages later he noticed the ring was gone. We were both devastated. He even left the beach to rent a metal detector, but we couldn't find it. Two days later, a good friend called and said she found the ring in the sand near where we had been sitting. Hundreds of people had to have been walking that part of the beach, but somehow it didn't get buried. The second time he was shoveling snow and throwing snowballs at our girls without his gloves on. It must have slipped off somehow. We had to wait several weeks for the snow to melt, but he found it.

So far in 19 days he's lost over 25 pounds, so I'll be keeping a close eye on his ring...and his pants too!
