water

Postby mamabear » April 18th, 2006, 8:04 am

It's 11 am and (even though I have a wicked bad sore throat which makes swallowing somewhat painful) I have already downed 48 oz of water. I didn't realize until I went to fill up my water bottle again!

:hugblue: I'm sorry you are not feeling well -- sore throats are no fun! But hey, you are getting your waters in and that not only will help you lose the pounds, but will help keep your body hydrated and flushed to get all of those :dino: germies "washed away"! :guzzle: I hope you feel better soon! :pet:

Hi Mamabear,
You're doing great with the water. :D If that sore throat doesn't go away soon head yourself off to the Dr. to get it checked out. I let a strep infection get into my joints once -- ohhhhhhh no fun and a shot in the rear everyday for a week. :x

I am sorry you are not feeling well. Your water intake is super though and that will certainly help your throat but like Jan said if it continues get to the Dr.

Jan is right. Go to the doc. I cared for a patient once that had frequent strep infections. They became so routine for him that he just stopped complaining, so his mom had stopped taking him to the doc because she was unaware that he was feeling bad. He ended up in chronic renal failure. By the time he was 15 years old, he was dialysis dependant and needing a transplant. Don't mess around.

Sorry, didn't mean to scare anyone. But, if the throat is sore and it is red and even a little swollen, better safe than sorry.
