Water + Crystal Light

Postby ascicles » June 2nd, 2006, 1:12 pm

I have never had Crystal Light before, but today I noticed that they had a pink lemonade version, so I picked some up.

Here's my question. If I drink some of this, how should I drink water in conjunction.

I usually drink 120 oz. of water per day, so I am not sure whether I should subtract the Crystal Light from the total amount I should drink (i.e. if I drink 16oz of crystal light, should I only have 104 oz of water)?

I know that the rule is you should have it in addition to you 64oz. of water, but I am always well above that level. I don't want to have TOO many liquids.

I think you probably drink so much that I wouldn't worry about using Crystal Light for some of it.

I agree with Robin. I would count it as part of your 120 ounces. I drink anywhere from 100 - 128 ounces of water a day and I just recently discovered the peach tea crystal light and have a 20 ounce bottle of it as one of my waters - just to change it up a bit.

Enjoy!

Hey Manly ~ I would subtract it from the 120 oz. I doubt your body actually needs more than that.

Keep in mind Crystal Light has aspartame, which isn't that helpful for weight loss. I drink the CL Sunrise, but only on a limited basis.

There's a brand out there called 4C that has lemonade (I just bought it a couple days ago), they sweeten with splenda.

Well, it's not something that I drink that often. Maybe once every day or two.

Crystal Light in the ready to drink bottles contain Splenda. Just thought you'd like to know.

I drink the Walmart brand that you plop right into your 16oz bottle of water, and I drink like 5 a day. I WISH it was sweetened with splenda, but it does not. I would not drink enough water otherwise- and somewhere I read NON CALORIC bev., so that is just me.

How are you Manly?

Non caloric beverages are fine and they do keep you hydrated while on Medifast but they do not aid in weight loss like plain water does. I think that a couple a day is fine.
