Oh no!!!! It was wrong!

Postby Nelliebly » November 20th, 2005, 4:25 pm

I can't believe this. I took out the other scale I had at home. My old one that I'd weighed in on doesn't work right, so I got out the good one. :( So I actually didn't lose anything this week. I stayed the same. Nothing. My blood sugars have been running high with MF. Can't figure that out since I am on the diabetic MF. I even changed the battery in my meter to double check. I don't get it. How can you eat to the T and lose nothing?

Any suggestions? What could have happened? I drank all my water, walk normally 5-7 miles daily(Been doing that since May, not giving that up! :D )
Why are my blood sugar numbers going higher? It should be going lower.

This is discouraging. To lose nothing and gaining on my BS numbers isn't going to work. I've not cheated one bit. Now what?

Nelliebly ~

Wow! This is a conundrum to me, too! I can understand the sale not showing a weight loss – this is very common, often it is related to fluid imbalances and hormone fluctuations and those of us who have journeyed longer know that it will pass and you will begin to drop the flabber very soon.

I am unsure about how to answer the question regarding your elevated blood sugars.

Are they high at every reading? How often are you testing?

Are you taking your oral meds at the usual times?

First I recommend that you contact your diabetic specialist or doctor right away.

Are you eating on time?

Are you following the Diabetic Food Guide? What caloric level are you using? (For those of you who are non-diabetics, the Medifast 5 and 1 Program is based on 800 – 950 calories a day and some diabetics need more calories than that. Our Diabetic Guide offers meal plans with calorie ranges of 800-1k, 1050 to 1100, 1100 to 1200 calories per day).

When are you eating the diabetic bar?

You may always contact the nurse at Take Shape for Life by calling (877) 270-5704.
