Walden Farms dressing

Postby Ct. Yankee » April 22nd, 2006, 2:55 pm

Hi everyone,

I am a late bloomer and just got around to trying Walden Farms Creamy Bacon dressing on my salad with cooked diced chicken as my L&G tonight. All I can say is that it is wonderful!!! Adds variety to the only two dressings that MF offers.

As far as the nutritional count, Walden Farms has less calories, less fat, less sodium, no carbs at all, and no sugar whatsoever compared to MF Red Bell Pepper Italian dressing. Don't have the MF box to compare the Ranch.

Just thought I would share. Probably everyone on MF has already tried the Bacon dressing, but for the few who haven't, it is a winner, at least with me! ;) Joan

I'm always surprised at how many people love this stuff. All their products taste like paste (or what I imagine paste would taste like) to me.

I haven't noticed any 'pasty' taste with the Creamy Bacon, only a heavy bacon flavor. Awww, maybe this old lady's taste buds are going, too!! Just kidding! This dressing is a great change. No, not all Walden Farms products are good, but after a 'search and try', I found this one is for me!

Nah, it's probably me. I'm the one who thought everything on Medifast was too sweet or too salty when I started, too. And the one who refuses to drink the shakes. I tend to only like the real stuff.

I basically just rarely have salad. When I do, I get regular or low-fat dressing on the side and just dip my fork in. (But mostly I just skip the salad and get other veggies. Because if it's not loaded with cheese or avocado or something, I'm not interested!!)

Robin - I'm with you - I DO NOT like Walden Farm dressings. I've tried several flavors and there is just some taste that hits me that I don't like at all. I do the dipping the fork thing too when I have salads - which I LOVE...so I had to get used to not drenching my salad....but I am doing it.

Yuck on the Waldn Farms. I am glad other people like it - I don't understand it but I am glad for all of you :)

Not everyone likes the same things, and that is what makes all of us different. I was merely trying to share with the ones who do like Walden Farms, that the Creamy Bacon Dressing, I discovered for the first time, was very good, in case they hadn't tried it yet! ;)

Have a great MF week, everybody!!! Joan

Me, too. I have liked every one I have tried so far. I have not tried the Asian one, yet. It is sitting in my fridge!

I love Blue Cheese dressing and cucumbers, so I have that often. It;s good with chicken diced up...

I didn't care for the Walden Farms dressings, too sweet for me, I do like the bacon ranch pretty well. Im a vinegar-y salad dressing kinda person, but since I had bought so many I did marinate some chicken in them and that was pretty good. I do LOVE the Walden Farms fruit spreads, those are yummy!

Oh I hope I didn't offend anyone!! I was just saying I didn't like them - not picking on people that do - guess my sarcasm didn't come across in the written word - oops!

I do wish I liked them - all though I haven't tried them all. I have used the ones I bought as a marinade so they weren't a waste.

Michelle,

No offense taken! And, I do hope that your knee is on the mend and that you are feeling better and I am sure much relieved that your surgery is finally over! Medifast will wait for your return, we will all be here for you as you are, for us, but feel better first!! :D

The Walden Farms stuff is about 50/50 for me. I can tolerate the BBQ sauces, although I'm not a huge fan. The ranch is ok. Most of the jams are pretty good.

I have tried the creamy bacon, bacon ranch, alfredo, chocolate sauce, and a few other things, and I hate all of them.

Everything they have, except for the jams, have a strange aftertaste that isn't pleasing to me at all.
