Walden Farms coupon good through tomorrow

Postby Tawanda » April 29th, 2007, 4:05 pm

If you purchase Walden Farms products or would like to try them, there is an online coupon that is awesome. Our local stores don't carry Walden Farms products so this was great for me to be able to try some of them at a substantial savings. The coupon can be found at www dot waldenfarms dot com/cookinglight/ It is buy 1 item get 2 items free, or buy 2 get 4 free or buy 3 and get 6 free.......... and all of the items can be different-- Oh yeah, a great coupon! :D

The coupon is only good through tomorrow April 30th.

Hope that helps someone would was interested in their products...I wanted to try them after reading about some of the syrups and such in the Lean Cuisine section here.

Walden Farms calorie-free Ranch

Postby Seaside » May 2nd, 2007, 6:39 am

I think using a coupon to try these products is a good idea. I was really excited by the idea of a calorie-free ranch dressing, so I snapped up a bottle when it appeared in our local Publix.

My opinion of the product -- and it's only my opinion -- is that the dressing I tried had such an unnerving metallic taste that I had to throw out the whole salad. It was that inedible. However, I may try it again because I accidentally poured WAY too much on my salad. For now, my conclusion is that it is so improbably "calorie free" because it is inedible. Ergo, no calories. :D

With all things.... we all have different tastes. I've never tried these so I used this to get some to try. I've heard a number of people rave about a few of the things... so I picked a few things that sounded nice to try. At least if I don't like them, I'm only out $21 on the whole deal.

I've read that too much of a product and having the product alone, isn't a taste that many like, but as a compliment to another food in small quantities is quite good.

I imagine it is just like the MF foods......some hate what others like.

I'm willing to chance it, but I appreciate the input from someone who found it less than ideal.

I agree, if I hadn't drowned my salad in it, it might've tasted just fine. It was not as thick as regular Ranch so it came out of the bottle in a torrent!

I decided to look at the coupon just to see and it says it's extended through May 30th of 2007. I tried to order but it's not taking the coupon. I emailed them to see if it's something I'm doing wrong or if it's their system. I'd be stoked to get that, they charge $5 a bottle in my local store

I'd like to hear reviews. I'm thinking NOW I should have ordered some of the dressing packets to carry when I'm out.

Mike, I never got my order. I phoned them again this morning and they could find the history that I had been charged but nothing past that--no order details and no record that they had ever filled the order. I was asked to reorder 9 items so they could fill my order and I couldn't remember what I had ordered previously (the website malfunctioned and I never got to the screen that said 'here is your order, total, etc. print this off'). I did get an email right after I placed the order, stating my cr.card had been charged $xx for the order to WaldenFarms.com but no details there either. Disappointing that there has been the delay and the snafu...hopefully the products are worth the wait. :)

I went and checked 3 days ago... and e-mailed them regarding mine. All it said was pending.. no shipping info... then voila, it was here.
Sorry about your snafu. I will say their site leaves much to be desired. ;)

Well, we tried these products. Di and I lined em up, opened em, and had a little taste test.

Overall, given that these products have 0 calories per serving, I would say they aren't the worst tasting things that I've tried.

We tossed out the 3 syrups (blueberry, strawberry, chocolate)... :shoot: they were just wrong. We also tossed the Marshmallow dip... same reason. The Honey Dijon dressing was just flat out gross. :puke:

We kept the Caramel and Chocolate dips... just in case we might be able to use them for something (although they are extremely sweet) :scratchhead:

The only two that I was able to say that I like was the Apple Butter and the Strawberry dips. So, for $21... 4 of the 9 were okay, so not the worst investment I suppose.
