Very proud of myself!!

Postby tlo » August 3rd, 2006, 3:42 pm

I just wanted to share my excitement with you all about what I did last night. Well after a very bad weekend I vowed to myself to stay 100% compliant this week. Well I was fine all week until last night, MTOTM is approaching fast, and my cravings are starting to creep up on me. So on my way home from work last night, I was having a killer craving for some McDonalds french fries. I pulled into the McDonalds parking lot, but only to turn around and go to the corner store and bought a bottle of salsa, went home and made two packets of Medifast chilli, with garlic salt, and some Ms Dash seasoning, put the salsa on top, and a little dollop of sour cream and ate that with a diet giner ale. I was so proud of myself for not giving into my french fry tempation. I guess this was my MOMENT I realized that I am officially a Medifaster

Just wanted to share

Good job fighting the craving, but keep in mind that you shouldn't combine two servings into the same meal.

It's definitely better than the McDonalds though!

Excellent job. We all know how tough it is, and we all know you are supposed to space out the meals... but we have been told in times of emergency you can have two together. So, glad you overcame the craving and had something better than those ucky, preservative and oil laden fries.

Yup, what mike said, ucky!

Way to go!

Much better choice! How fast was the u-turn in the parking lot? Burn rubber?

At the hospital my schedule is so crazy that if I don't combine for my last meal I'll be up til 12 or 1am simply waiting to eat. :x It's always chili when I do it. It's not perfect but it's life. You're not alone.

You rock for not eating those fries. Way to go! The scale will thank you for it!

Thanks drmjwdvm, I needed that so much. Now I don't feel like I am the only one.
But the crazy part is I have never combined my meals before, I was just so hungry I thought I needed to, but I didn't eat the whole bowl. I ate a little more than half so technically I really only ate a little over one supplement. And by the time I added the salsa and little sour cream, it was more than enough.

But thanks all of you for sharing my moment of strength, I really am inspired by you guys, and when I did it, I was thinking of you all and how proud I will be to share my story with you the next day.
