Vacation gain? Or Not!

Postby AlexisClaire » June 25th, 2005, 9:55 am

We just went on a 6 day anniversary vacation, we visited my parents, friends, and stayed in the town we got married in (ashland, OR) home of our FAVORITE restaraunts. I was off plan the WHOLE time, ate out 4 times, barbecue's, family breakfasts, alcohol, and more candy than I would normally have had  ......and I'm up ONE MEASLY POUND! WOO HOO! :cheerleader: We got home late last night and as of this morning the scale kept going back and forth between what I was when I left and 1 pound higher.

OH MY GOODNESS! I think I finally have this "portion control" thing under control! It makes me feel so good that I know I'll be able to keep the weight off after MediFast when I can stay so normal even when I go off the deep end.
I LOVE THIS PROGRAM! :bounce:

That is excellent news. Just one pound while off plan for 6 whole days.

But to keep it in perspective..........one pound every six days for say..........a year, would be an ADDITIONAL 61 POUNDS at the end of the year.

This is the type of thing that I must remember at all times. It sure helps to keep me on the straight and narrow.

One pound however is very, very good. I have gained four pounds in one day already (my birthday last April).

Now you are back and can begin again to lose, lose, lose.

I've heard somewhere that the average person who is not conscious of their weight loss/gain, adds on 10lbs per year. THAT is how we turn around one day and think HOLY CRAPPOLA.......WHERE DID THIS COME FROM??? THIS is what I am hoping will keep me on track too. I hope to never be more than 5lbs from my goal weight once I am there. It's alllllllllll about the sneaky sneaky little ONE POUNDERS that add up to 50 POUNDERS over time ;)

I"m so glad you you only have ONE lb to deal with......that's awesome. Just don't tell yourself that you can take 6 days off here and there if it won't be that bad :?

Aww sad, now I feel kinda crappy:( I was excited that even with all the bad things I ate I was able to keep myself in control enough to have nothing but normal food and only gain a pound in a week after strickt dieting for over a month. You guys just reminded me it's still another pound I have to lose in the long run....gotta get my nose back to the grindstone.
