Thank you all for the nice comments. I don't think I really comprehended the "enormity" of my weight loss (pun intended) until I saw those pictures side by side. It's funny how when you're the person losing the weight sometimes you just can't see it. It's like having "blubber blinders" on. I never saw myself as big as those before pictures show me to be...so the now pictures look like how I "pictured" myself before. (Sounds complicated but it really isn't).

It will be interesting to see how my son and his family react to seeing me. Last saw my granddaughter in December, so I guess she'll have to get used to a slightly more streamlined grandma.

Thanks again,
Carmel

Dear Carmel ~

 You look great! Oh wowser! :kool:

I can also relate to your comment about how you viewed yourself. It seems like we don’t always get the big picture – I just :shades: looked at my face from the eyebrows up!

Your weight loss is significant and yes, it really shows!

You are about one-third of the way to victory! Isn’t it amazing how mixing some powder with water and drinking it down every three hours can slough away the unhealthy parts and reveal such a lovely body?

Hey! You are gonna have to change your name soon, Little Darlin’ ‘cuz your tummy and uh, chest area are no longer marshmallowy! That sure will mellow you out, too!

In the third picture down (the straight on with the flowered black/white shirt), it's as if the real you, the beautiful you, is emerging from within. The change, metamorphosis really, is astonishing. What an difference and what an amazing transformation. Thanks for sharing these very inspiring photos with us.
