Unfortunately/Fortunately...I've always "worn my weight" well. Gave me a false sense of "I don't really look like I weigh as much as I do" reality. Even when I hit 300+ pounds I kept thinking I didn't really look "that bad".
(As you can see from the "before" pix...I really DID look that bad!"
It is sort of weird though. When friends & family ask me how much more I want to lose and I tell them 50 more pounds every one of them has said..."Are you crazy? Do you want to be a stick?" THey think it's excessive and I'm an anorexia candidate! I assure them that stick status is not one of my goals, but I am trying to reach a healthy BMI and according to the blasted chart, for my height 165 is on the upper edge of "healthy".
I dunno, maybe I am one of those fabled "big-boned" people. I know I've built a lot of muscle up from going to Curves...(and I didn't think that Curves would do that for me, just wanted to try and keep some "tone".) Plus at this weight I'm wearing size 14 pants and 16-18 tops. When I was younger I would've weighed 35 pounds less than I do now in order to fit in those sizes. I can't imagine what I'll be wearing 50 pounds from now. I had been shooting for a nice comfy Size 12, but who knows???
Does anyone know if we get more "compact" as we age? (Or maybe it's just more "dense"
)
