Unca, take a peek, great news in here

Postby Nite Izes » March 15th, 2005, 2:56 am

Couldn't hold the news any longer. I went to the doc's office yesterday to get my physical and be weighed. Yes!!!! I now weigh in at 215 and have accomplished my 2nd goal to my weight loss journey. That is a whopping total of 70 lbs gone, since I 1st started Medifast almost 12 months ago. So you can add me to the 70# club. Overall, I lost a grand total of 88 lbs since the the beginning of January 2004 till now.

Nite-
CONGRATS!! thats AWESOME!! you made your second goal..and what a drop in Body fat percentage!! I started this plan over a year ago...not far from when you did...and since then...I have also started a work out program....with it includes weight lifting and let me be the one to tell you..if you seek the numbers on the scale, rather than the percentage of body fat....its not always something to celebrate!! since we all know that muscle weighs more than fat...and when you gain muscle...its speeds up your metabolism and you slim down, although you dont show alot on the scale in weight loss...your actually gaining muscle and LOOSING FAT!! that is why I have never been a "big scale person" ...I pick out a pair of pants..that are tight..and every few weeks I try them on...although my scale has not gone down very much (at times Ive had my struggles and fell off the train to thinville)....I can SEE how much firmer my body is...and how much better my clothes fit...and it seems the MORE weight training I do...the BETTER my body looks and feels!!
You got the right Idea with the body fat goals....you may gain tons of muscle....and stay at a weight on the scale that you may not consider "at goal"....but in reality...your getting smaller by the day!! ;)
CONGRATS to you!! :-P

WOW! Congrats Nite Izes. You must feel so good, as you should.

I remember reading your post in the studio when I was first signing up for MF at the beginning of this month.

Not only have your words and actions been supportive and inspiring to others, I remember looking at your pics and what you wrote and thinking to myself, "Now that girl is definitely going to reach her goal before the end of this year."

I'm really happy for you. Keep up the great work.
