unbelievable co-workers!!

Postby petiewheats » March 22nd, 2006, 4:32 pm

I mentioned when I first posted that I need to have knee surgery, nothing big, just a scope. My co-workers said today " So Paula, are you going to start eating again after your surgery?" They want to come over the night of surgery with "take out".
UNBELIEVABLE!!

What do they mean you are gonna start eating again! You are still eating just making healthier choices regarding what food you use to fuel your body! Man some people just don't get it.

Keep us updated on the knee and when surgery is

The surgery is next tuesday the 28th. there has been as unofficial 'weight loss' challange at work I choose not to participate because I knew I would blow them out of the water! No one has really lost much weight except me. Maybe they are jealous. I haven't told all of them I am on MF- I will have soup or my L&G at work, so I do eat solids in front of them. I'm just not pigging out on the b-day cakes and girl scout cookies.
Thanks for all the well wishes and good thought.

Hi

Postby dede4wd » March 22nd, 2006, 10:55 pm

Isn't that amazing..."start eating again?" I'm eating better than I have in YEARS! I don't even need to take vitamins! My hair and skin look GREAT! I have co-workers always telling me I'm going to gain all the weight back as soon as I "start eating again." I feel like I NEVER stop eating! They watch me "eat" every 2 hours and still think I'm not eating. I try to tell them that I will never start eating again like I used to. I used to eat 2-3 meals a day fast food! Start eating again, not a chance! Not like that!

Anyhoo, good luck with the surgery, you'll bounce back quickly! They can take that take out and take it out! Maybe you should enter the unofficial weight loss contest and blow them away! You don't even have to tell them "what" you're doing, just win!

Good luck!

I was out with a friend last night, happily eating a steak and veggies, and she asked when I was going to be able to have "normal" food again. Sigh.

I don't know about all of you, but when I eat a steak, piece of chicken, or fish and some good veggies I am HAPPY! I actually prefer those meals to most of the junk I used to eat!

Exactly. After dinner, everyone else complained about how stuffed they were. I felt great!

I think people are just jealous. Or looking to feel better about the junk THEY eat.
