Turkey bacon?

Questions/Comments about Weight loss Products.

There was an earlier question about ground meat and I found this on the MyMedifast site and thought it might be helpful:
Medifast Nutrition Support wrote:...the latest version of our Quick Start Guide (which is currently only available online as a "sneak peak") recommends that all varieties of ground meat with the exception of those 99% fat-free are consumed in a 5 ounce portion. For those that are 99% fat-free, a 6 ounce portion + 1 fat serving is the revised portion size. We know these changes may not be what you see in your current quick start guide, but the MyPlan system is currently transitioning so that the these changes can be seen and implemented by our users.

Though that quote says all varieties of ground meat, I don't think they mean sausage and I don't think they mean regular ground beef.....but that's just my opinion folks. Nothing personal.

Until they take the word Lean out of the L&G, I will stay away from regular ground beef. But that's just me. I don't even like it. It's way to greasy for me.

You don't need to eat it if you don't like it, Jo. But it IS a legal option even if not up to your standards. ;)

Just keep it to 5 oz. j/k
Seriously, I've never heard sausage referred to as "ground meat" so you are probably out of luck!

All? probably not--Jo won't go because of the grease (and her interpretation of the new Quick Start Guide). :o

I doubt they mean sausage either. But ground meat is ground meat-regular, 80% or 90%. It can be beef, pork or turkey. Just remember if you choose something 99% lean--ADD SOME FAT! Since Medifast has been around, very successfully, for 25 years or more I trust they know what they are talking about. Their findings are based upon the weightloss of far more people than what gather on this forum. :)

Yes, of course it is. It would be difficult to force a side of pig into a sausage casing! :o What I said was, "I've never heard sausage referred to as ground meat." Perhaps you have--I cannot answer for that. :?
