True lemon/orange/lime packets

Postby sunshinekpc » May 5th, 2007, 3:43 pm

Are we allowed to have them while in the weight loss phase? The packet says you are supposed to put them in 10-16.9 oz of water, but I normally dilute it even more to 20 oz or put 2 packets in 32 oz of water. Would this be acceptable and not throw me out of ketosis?? I hope not!! Also, I know that the SF Crystal Light packets are only limited to 2 per day, so what if we dilute them too? Example being, the SF Lemonade is WAAYY too sweet for me now, I normally dilute it down so I get 3 servings out of the small packet. So, will doing this throw me out?

Thanks!!!
Jessica

From what everybody else has said about them I assume they are allowed. How many carbs? That's the dangerous thing.

here are the nutrition facts from the single packet.

0 calories
0 fat
0 sodium
<1 carb
0 protein
25% vitamin C

Ingredients: Citric acid, lactose, lemon juice, lemon oil, maltodextrin, ascorbic acid (Vitamin c)

Now on the box, it says 0mg of carb, but looking at the nutrition facts, it says <1mg of carb.

Now when its "allowed", can I have more than 2 per day, like maybe 4 or whatever? This is great for people who sometimes have a hard time drinking a lot of water. It gives it just a hint of flavor, nothing like the Crystal light packets or any other packet Ive ever tasted.

I have only been able to find them at the grocery stores, not at super Walmarts.

I don't see why not just don't go crazy. Splenda has the same <1 carb and we are limited to 3 packets a day of those and no other condiments so I'd guess it would be the same.

The thing about water, and this is the whole reason they say get in 64 oz of pure water above anything else, is that it cleanses your system of all the junk your fat cells dispose of.
You want to get in WATER, not just fluids. So, although the SF additives are few to no calories (crystal light is 5 per serving), its got lots of stuff in there that makes the water not pure. So, use the crystal light, coffee, diet soda, tea, etc in ADDITION to your 64 oz of pure water.
These are recommendations, but the way I see it, you want to get rid of all of that garbage from your system that the fat cells dispel as they shrink up. Other stuff doesn't cleanse, it just hydrates.
