Hi Triskets!! Congratulations on getting back on the wagon and starting over. You can do it!! Kudos on staying on plan during your vacation. I am already nervous about going to the caribbean for holidays. Guess what scares me? Not food per se, but all the delicious fruits of my childhood...how will I run from 6 different species of mangoes and water coconuts and guanabana (soursop) and tamarind (mixed with brown sugar)???
So I think you have done good!!
I have 100+ to lose and I posted before I signed up about the loose skin. I decided that I have to consider it a minor issue and just focus on overall health. I plan on moisturizing and hydrating my skin like nobody's business. I read somewhere that a lot of folks have loose skin, in part, because they did not drink enough water as the weight came off.
As I begin week 3, I hope to start lifting some light weights and do some strength training in addition to walking. My moisturizer of choice will be coconut oil. It is really awesome for the skin and I like what it does to my skin. As a child that is what my grandma would rub on my skin and I still have velvet skin. So you may want to give it a try and see how you like it. I only use organic coconut oils or lotions. I get mine from a company called Tropical Traditions.
I am rooting for you Triskets! We newbies who need to lose a Benjamin (my euphemism for 100# as in $100 dollar bill) need to stick together while enjoying and giving support with the rest of the forum. Maybe we can be the tribe of Benjamin (yes, I am a nutter and like bible references
) Good luck on the rest of your MFJourney!!
