Transitioning to a different diet????

Postby Guest » February 19th, 2006, 8:44 am

Hey guys,

I've been on Medifast for about a month and a half now. I've lost 20 lbs and am happy with that. I have about 38 more to go. I'd like to know if anyone has known anyone or has transitioned from this diet to a different diet. I'd like to do Weight Watchers or Nutri-System to lose the last of my weight if I can. I'm happy with the loss but I am so bored with the food choices and would just like to have a little more versatility in my diet. I'm scared though because when I've cheated I've always gained like 2-5 lbs every day I cheat. Thants scarry. I just dont want to go from this to WW or another low cal diet and actually gain weight doing it. Any comments, suggestions, experiences would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Transitioning

Hmmmm Sara,
Why fool around with a good thing?? You are parting with the pounds and have had problems with the other "diets". Remember this is not a "diet" it is a chosen lifestyle. It envolves being willing to change our old habits.
Go to the "lean cuisine" part of the forum. Read the recipes. Did you know you could make mousse or even a Taco Bell Recipe??? There is lots of variety!!! We just have to get a little creative. I've just discovered I love the cranberry mango fruit drink hot -- and it's especially good with a litte s/f coconut syrup blended in. I know I'll have fun making fabulous cold drinks out of it this summer. It's only 20 degrees here in Washington State this am so -- I'm not drinking toooo much cold!! Those pounds will be gone forever soon. You can do it -- don't fool around.

Hi Sara,

You have done fantastic on MF! You have already gone a long way toward your goal!

Before MF, I was a lifetimer on WW. An okay program, but you know I was happy if I stepped on the scale with a 1/2 to 1 pound loss each week! And somehow, I would get discouraged with such slow progress, and even gained back what I had lost.

I have been on MF about the same amount of time as you and I am constantly learning new ways to fix the foods and actually eat much healthier and more often than when I was on other diets (and there were lots!)

We hope you decide to stay with MF and all the wonderful support you can get right here on these boards. Maybe give it a little longer, and be motivated by the weight loss you will have if you stay 100% with the program.

You will be such an inspiration to the rest of us after you have made it to goal.

Here's hoping and shaking!
