Hello everyone!

I'm waiting for my first order, so I guess I'm really not even "new" yet. I've been reading these threads for days now, and I can't wait to get started on the plan. Eveyone seems to love MF and is doing so well with it. You all seem like a very supportive and active group, and that's a good part of why I decided to order MF.

I'm a back sliding Weight Watcher from way back, and after losing alot of weight, I just hit the wall with apathy and started gaining, even while still attending meeings. Now, I'm going down a new path, and I'm really looking forward to getting back in the weight loss groove :D

:exercise: Welcome aboard, Karin ~

We're glad to meet you and it's great that you are reading up on things - that will get you off to a fine start.

You know WW has been doing a lot of great things to get people on a weekly accountability routine and that is one of the important aspects of weight management. Another part of success is having a positive mindset and determination to make the changes in our eating and :weightlift: exercise habits that become permanent, life-long changes - I'll bet that's just what you have in mind to do this time!

As soon as you get your program booklet be sure to read through it several times as our program differs significantly from what you are used to.

Soon you'll be in the Medigroove with the rest of us!

Hi Karin,

I am a lifetime member of Weight Watchers. When I finally reached my goal weight with their program....and it took me a while....I eventually gained it all back than then some. I know it is a good program, but was too much work for me.

I think you will like Medifast. It is so easy and convenient, in my opinion. And, the weight comes off at a good clip.

You are right about having a supportive group in this forum. Your questions get answered very quickly, there is help to get you through any troubled spots you may encounter and you can learn so much from all of the posts.

A BIG WELCOME TO YOU!

Thanks to all for the warm welcome! :D

It's nice to see other WW gals in here as well. I never did hit life time...I was 5# from goal after a 90# loss (took me nearly 5 years!) and I don't know what happened...but I just lost my focus and the rest's history. I agree that it was too much trouble. Not really "trouble", but just thinking about it ALL the time made me nuts! It's a good plan, but the slowness of the losses can be sometimes really discouraging. MF will be a welcome change. Now if it would hurry and GET here!

Have a great day!

Hi Karin,
I want to add my Welcome to you along with all the other great welcomes you've received. This is a great and supportive place. :D
I too went the WW route, lost some and hmmmmmm well here I am. I think I am basically a uh I like to say "busy" person but really perhaps lazy. This is soooo easy, not much thinking required, and little preparation. Just what I need.
I'll keep watching for you

Hi Karin,

Just wondering if there is anyone out there who hasn't tried the WW route? I am a Lifetime member from way back when it first started, when it was so strict with the fish and liver requirements! I did lose... but then with so many starts and stops from then on.

Yes, it is a good healthful program, but why could I not stay with it and not gain back all I have lost on it---and other weight loss programs as well? :?: :?:

I was just thinking lately, "Why is MF so much easier for me? And what would I be eating if I were on another diet?" I have learned to really like the meal replacements, no guess work, fantastic support, and no big food decisions to make, consistent weight loss, no real hungry...and I am learning all along what to do to maintain the weight loss after I am at goal.

It will be up to me, for sure, but I have the tools and I believe the support to do it. :puter:

Best of luck, Karin. We hope you like us and Medifast enough to come along and stay beside us. :stroll: :stroll:
