My grandaughter was at my house on Valintines day after her party at preschool and she had M&M's and was in my lap and put one in my mouth and without thanking I ate it-- Could that cause a weight gain?? she is only 2 and wanted to share with me

Hi Laura! My son does the same thing to me. It's so cute that he wants to share food but.... Most of the time I make like I'm eating it and then when he's not looking out it goes. But, sometimes I do forget myself too! I'm certainly not an expert on this but IMHO I don't think that 1 M&M is going to throw you off much if at all. They're so cute aren't they?

Yes they are so cute!! Lauran is the light of my life, I am glad her mother lets her have very few sweets .

I've always said that it's the hand that is causing the problem!! And this time it wasn't even yours!!! The hand stuffs things in the mouth -- the mouth just chews -- remember the mouth has been taught to be very polite -- sins of the tongue and all Soooo how impolite to spit it out!! It has no choice it just chews and then the stomach yells "oh no "!!!!!!
Remember forum members the stomach is not as polite as the mouth. If you send something down that it trully does not like it will "spit it out" Moral of the story -- keep your hand in your pocket -- er unless like our poor victim above -- it wasn't even her hand.

I think you did great. I have a real addiction to candy (sugar). If I had one I'd have another and another and another, well you get the point.
