Hi everyone,

I just started the program Monday, and I am really proud of myself because I have not cheated!!!!! I never realized how important food had become as a comfort, a crutch, a celebration, etc. I started at 360, and am already down about 5 lbs. I work in a hospital lab. I have two wonderful sons, ages 6 and 18 months, and an incredible (skinny) husband. I want to have more kids. I have Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome, so loosing weight is tough. I am on medication for it, and was wondering if anyone else experienced a lot of dizzyness those first weeks. I am on Spironolactone (a mild diuretic) and Metformin. I have asthma, and have a med for that, but I think it is the other meds that are the issue. I am seeing my doc tomorrow, but was wondering if I was alone.

I am also really excited that I am actually following this plan. I have tried everything and dieted myself up this high. I know this will work if I stay on it!

Nice to meet you all,
Becki

Welcome Becki,

Many of us here have (or used to have) the health issues you have. I was diabetic and hypertensive. I'm still mildly asthmatic. My wife has PCOS as you do and so far she has lost 120 lbs on this program.

You can do it, just follow the plan.

Also, make sure you register (little button on the bottom) so you can use all the open areas of the forum.

welcome~

and yes , I experienced dizziness. Boullion is allowed and quite good at immediate help for it. Plus it was a bit of a life saver for me in the 1st month or so.

Week One

Postby siglamb962 » September 30th, 2007, 4:41 pm

Hi everyone!

I lost 10 pounds this week! But, even better, I did not cheat. I went out to eat for my husband's birthday and had a salad with grilled chicken and went to a birthday party and did not eat anything but the shake I brought.

I am really proud of myself!!!!!!!!!!

Aloha,

oubelqasse (Steph) had Poly cyctic ovaries as well. I am pretty sure she doesn't take meds for it though. She (and I ) started about 2 weeks ago and she hasn't reported any dizziness. Are you drinking a lot of water?

We are just as excited about starting this program too! It really works and changes your attitude toward food. Welcome!
