Tomorrow Is the Big Day

Postby JustJeni » March 5th, 2006, 5:32 pm

Hi MF shakers! Okay so any advice would be great! I will be starting the program tomorrow for the first time. I'm so excited, but nervous at the same time. :-P I'm 30 years old and have about 50-60 pounds to lose. I will weigh in tomorrow morning! Since January I have lost 12 pounds total on my own with just eating better and working out a lot. I hope to be close to my goal by the end of April!
I have to admit when I received my 5 week box it freaked me out a little on how small everything was! Hehee! :D

Most of it "plumps up" when you add water. Be prepared for a few days of hunger, but ride it out (use bouillon and allowed snacks, and if you need to, add an extra packet a day) and it'll pass. Drink lots and lots of water, and when you're done, drink some more. In time you'll find out which meals you prefer and which are more filling (I highly recommend the oatmeal). If there's anything you don't like, try doctoring it up (see the Lean Cuisine section). If you still don't like it, give it some time; a lot of us have found our tastes have changed after some time on the program.

I'm excited for you! The pounds will be coming off in no time, and you're going to feel great!

Feel free to post if you have any questions once you start (or PM me or most of the other folks here; we're all happy to help). Good luck!!!

Welcome, Jeni!

You are going to love MF...and yes, most of it "grows" when you mix it up. For instance, I cannot believe how much oatmeal that little packet makes! Congratulations on finding MF, and good luck as you begin your journey. Make sure you come back often and let us know how you're doing, ask questions, and share your successes. Welcome to the family!

Welcome aboard, sounds like you're prepared for this journey. Make sure you get enough rest during the first three days and follow the Quick Start guide to the letter, make sure you've read up on the advice on exercise since you've been working out so much. Many well wishes...
