Uh, oh! I don't know how much chicken you had in your Medifast soup but I just wanted you and others to know the importance of not combining meals....... We do not combine Medifast meals with regular food .

Uh oh, I'm a little confused now... Now if one is doing the 5 and 1 plan, I thought that we were allowed a lean meat portion?? Maybe I misunderstood..... If so, does the meat portion HAVE to been eaten with the salad rather than say with a shake or soup and the salad by itself at a different time of day??? Learning something new every day!!

By the way, thanks for everyone's great posts!! I don't always get a chance to post, but I do always enjoy reading about everyone's success and ideas !!!!

Hey Spagirl! I'm sure Nancy will fill you in, but thought I'd respond too. I'm doing full fast but I think what Nancy was saying on the 5 and 1 plan(or any plan for that matter) is that you shouldn't combine any of your meals because they need to be evenly spaced so your metabolism stays up. Also if you combine you could be getting "too much" at one meal compared to the other meals/supplement times. The lean and green should be a separate meal on its own, spaced fairly evenly with your other supplements. Having it with the supplement meal would be like me doubling up on my shakes, or having a shake and bar together. Just my 2 cents, not sure if I'm right here but I think that's the idea! Keep on shakin Spagirl!

Nancy - thanks I'll be careful not to mix meals anymore :o I got my order in today too, so I will have more to choose from and that will help.

Yes, that's exactly right - take synthroid an hour or two before your breakfast when you make that early morning run for the sandbox...

Fed Up - your advice is exactly right!

Sorry I missed your question - :biker: I'm madly working on the November Newsletter... :puter:

For Folks on the 5 and 1 Weight Loss Plan:

:chef: When you have the 1 meal of regular food, the lean meat/vegetables or the lean meat/salad it should be consumed at the same meal time to assure that the meal is balanced properly (protein/carb/fat).

If you are on the Complete Plan for Weight Loss: 6-7 Medifast meals (no regular food) and you intend to include a small salad, then have the salad with a shake/soup/etc. :eat:
