Yes, you can always play it by ear a little. You probably know yourself pretty well in your exercising by now. Personally, I know that I can gain all of my strength and endurance back in about 1 month of consistent workout, no matter where I left off, and that seems like a small price to pay for losing the weight I would like to lose.
I am thinking of my former kind of workouts as a reward for when I reach my goal weight. I will probably start working out a bit lightly at some point here, but most likely not like I used to until I am in maintenance. But, it sure is something to look forward to
and by that point, I will be lighter and more agile, so in some ways, I may be even better at it than when I stopped to lose the pounds (even on the first day back). Perhaps the same principles apply to you.
Anyway, I am just quite interested in the subject, so I had to rejoin the conversation.
