
I use a lot of Mrs. Dash (it is salt free spice blends and come in a variety of blends), Frank’s Hot Sauce and also I use salsa as a flavoring. To the chili or Minestrone, add some chopped celery and a bit of chopped tomato. In the early days/weeks while your stomach is becoming adjusted to smaller size portions, you may consider adding a tad bit more water than called for and “beef” up the broth of the chili or Minestrone by adding a snort of bullion granules.
