Lisa & Donna~~I know I am careful about telling people they have lost a LOT of weight. I don't want to somehow offend them. :( However, at the same time if I am close to that person I make sure to tell them in order to give them encouragement. :D

There is definitely a fine line there. As kassilou said, I can come here for encouragement.

Ok, just posting here, sipping on my diet coke, and telling myself not to eat anything....I just had a spoonful of peanututter and a spoonfl of rice (Dont ask why) and just HAD to stop myself!!!!!! I grabbed a diet coke, and am just repeating over and over, that the day can still be saved....it is not the end of the world, and I do NOT need to now go look at what ELSE I can eat. Others here have survived peanut butter, and thogh i shouldnt be eating it, im just going to ignore that teeny slip, and keep going...I am committed to dinner tonight, and i know i can get a lean and green in where im going, so no problem, ill just keep drinking till then, and then finish off with one more supplement later tonight...no big deal. I have NOT fallen off. NO NO NO.
I DO, however, need to get some work done...oy.
Ok, magic scale, please ignore the contents of those spoons, and move on down for me tomorrow!!

Just wanted to drop in here and say hi! I'm MFasting again for the 2nd time too! First time was over 7 years ago and I lost about 85lbs. It was much different then and the dr. office I was buying supplements from closed. 2 back to back pregnancies and I ended up right back where I started.

So here's to this WORKING AGAIN for us, hopefully with better results!

Oh and this is what I do and it certainly may not work for you. But when I see the scale go UP, it gives me stress. I do my best to only weigh in once a week. That way I don't have to see all the .5 gain, loss, whatnot. I only like to see the scale go down!

Hi Sheila!

Indeed here's to this working! I know it will, for all of us!
I know we shouldnt weigh every day...but the scale is sitting under my bed...taunting me all the time. So hard to resist! Oh well, I did NOT weigh myself this morning...I resisted. Are you weighing in on sunday? I was thinking I might try to make it ALL the weigh to sunday without weighing...that's a few more fantabulous MF days, then BAM! I'll get to move my ticker down a few (hopefully). That could be exciting...Wish me luck on staying off the scale, and on program!
Mmmm just ate some fabulous OM cookies with my coffee. I  medifast, dont you?

Diet Coke

Postby thininme » May 5th, 2005, 4:53 am

COCO, I am a diet coke Queen and was up to over 2 (2liters) a day, when I started I noticed that when I had a diet coke my hunger bell rang but if i left it out I was fine and the hunger never came. I thought I would place this out here as a thought. I still need my diet coke but save it for when I get home and only after 7pm. That way I just had my lean and green and am full. About 8:30 I have my mf pudding and the hungers never come. Just a thought. :) Water really does help, once your body is correctly hydrated I did not crave the soda. I know we can do this and some days are harder then others. A slip is just that! You did not fall so do not beat yourself up about it. Every minute of everyday is a new start!

Mommy2girls, is it not funny that the thing that brings us the most joy (our children) also bring us biggest pain in the >>> (weight) When I got pregant I weigh 150lbs. when I gave birth I weighed 315lbs....I did have a medical codintion but my body wanted to make sure my baby had enough  Any how that is why I am trying to take my greatest Joy and use that as a BIG reason to get healthy again. If I get to a point were I think I may "cheat" I look at her and know if I do not do something she will have to care for me WAY before she needs to. Just thought I would share.

I hope the three of us can make this trip a blast and we can be on the beach soon in a NEON green THONG  Have a great day

Hey Coco. I know about the struggles w/ peanut butter - BELIEVE ME! It is the ONLY thing left on my radar that needs dealt with. Good for you for not beating yourself up and just plunging ahead. You are making great progress bec. this is an entire package, weight, emotional and psychological issues!

Thanks for coming here for your support and to lend it to others!
