Sheryl, thanks for the update. I was curious about pulse, so I did a little research and came up w/this:

So what are ‘normal' pulse rates? The average resting heart rate for an adult is between 60 and 100 beats per minute, while well-conditioned athletes can achieve between 40 and 60 beats per minute.

The maximum pulse rate is 220 minus your age, and the target for a healthy pulse rate during, or just after, exercise, is 60 – 80 per cent of this.

I am a little curious – anyone else what others pulse rates are? According to the instructions above mine are:

Mine resting: 72
Max. should be 220 – 42 = 78
60% of this is 125
80% of this is 140

At the end of my brisk evening walk, I am at 130-140 every time.

Anyone else curious?
