Is this a cheat?

Postby FertileMyrtle » November 28th, 2006, 8:04 pm

Well, my husband got baptized today, and afterwards we all went to Wendy's for fellowship. I got a diet coke, and a classic double, but took off the bun and ate it with a fork. It included the tomato, onion and lettuce.
Earlier, before we left, I had a pinch of lettuce and two pinches of hamburger.
So I did not have any sugar or extra carbs, but there were a lot of calories in that!
I had one last MF meal to go, which I think I should skip to save the calories (plus I am not hungry.)
I worked out, which maybe accounts for why I was hungry.
Is this a cheat?? Should I do the full fast tomorrow to make up for this overage? (of like 400 cals)

Go ahead and finish your 5th MF meal and start tomorrow like nothing happened.

I won't comment on whether it was a cheat or not, that's up to the individual. The important thing is what it meant to you. Was it just the best alternative in an emergency situation, or.....?

Thanks, Unca. My primary concern was not getting knocked out of ketosis, but my secondary concern is the calorie count. I guess I can excercise a ton and drink a ton of water. I considered it the rest of my l/g, so it fits into the plan. But I think the portion was too big.

Ok then, I'll just keep it up. Thanks!

I agree with Unca (if it's not too late), last MF meal as planned and act as nothing happened. What's most important is that a hickup like this doesn't cause you to chuck the whole day! You'll be all right! Best choice, bad situation!

I'm with everyone else. That said, though, I think next time you'd be better off getting a grilled chicken sandwich and leaving off the bread. You'll have much less fat and fewer calories than in a greasy fast-food burger. Add a side salad, and you'd be in pretty good shape.
