hehe, hub likes to tell everyone that he picked me up in a bar...long story...but we did truly meet up in a bar. He moved in a week later. In Feb it will be 11 years!

I love hearing about how people meet and stay together forever. I am a big "Harry Met Sally" fan.

My story...Michael was the computer lab monitor and I had bought one of those awful green IMACs the first year they came out and it broke all the time. So, I had to go to the computer lab often for homework and he made it a point to ask me out in a different way everytime I went, even though I always said no thanks. We have been together 9 years now.

Now my guy is saying the L word and I am not there yet. I feel bad, but even though we have talked for HOURS I just am not feeling it yet. I care about him, and want to keep this going.... HHHMMMM! I want to be in MONTANA!!!

hehe robert and i met at work and i took smoke breaks with him (though he had a suspicion i didnt really smoke, and i didnt, except when i went on a break with him; now i dont at all and he is quitting)


anyhoot something you dont know about me is that i am still a hanson fan, most grew out of it, i did not. im going to their concert in two weeks.

my initial attraction to robert was because he reminded me of one of them... and if u dont know who im talking about google mmmbop.

Actually we saw each other at Pearlridge Mall the day before, but never said anything to each other. The next night, my cousin dragged me to the nightclub, where I saw two ex-boyfriends from high school.... and wanted to get the heck out of there and then.... like a night in shining armor, he walked through the door and stood at the bar with his friend. I was standing near the exit. He started walking toward me, so I thought he was either going to ask me to dance or walk out the door!! Well, he grabbed my hand without saying word and led me to the dance floor. Then he said, "Do you remember me?" And I said, "Yeah, you're the guy from the mall!" We've been together ever since....18 years!

Actually, when I was 19 I was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor and given about a year to live. I had to go to Chicago for the operation the Atlanta docs said I could never have - - it was just before Christmas and a feel good story, I suppose. Girl told she would die returns home after life saving (and life changing) operation. Local Chicago 9 filmed the first story and it hit the Associated Press and then the rest followed....

I just read these posts because i am new to this particular chat site but its funny how you say that because i met my boyfriend GOING to a night club. i was with my girlfriend and he was with his guy friend and my girlfriend and his guy friend knew each other and that is how we met. i didn't even want to be near him that night, and three years later here i am in love with him! isn't that ironic?? who says you can't find love at a club or a bar
oh, and i am on a bowling league with my boyfriend, that is something many people wouldn't think a 20yr old college student would be part of, but i am, and i love it!!

Well, since you brought it up. I met my husband in a bowling alley. And YES, a bowling alley is the last place on earth I ever expected to be, much less a place I ever expected to meet a potential husband! I always feel a little silly when people ask where we met. Just goes to show you'll meet Mr. Right when and WHERE you least expect it!
