I had to fight, and I mean FIGHT to stay between 125 and 128. I was majorly hungry and puny-feeling and I felt like I could hardly eat anything. 130-135 is no problem. We are wonderfully and fearfully created.
Camille, you are so right about beginning to understand your body.
I learned so much while Medifasting. I keep writing about the importance of enjoying the journey but it is true.
This is a learning experience for most of us. As we become more in tune with our bod, we begin to truly know the difference between physcial hunger, head hunger and emo hunger.
We begin to realize the importance of eating bird-like: smaller size meals eaten frequently.
We learn patience - a virtue sorely lacking these days. We learn contentment.
We learn how good it feels to go for a goal and to attain it.
We learn that the most important part of social gatherings is not the grub, it's the social interaction.
We learn about how wonderful it is to feel mentally clear once we get de-sugared and de-fatted! No more brain-fogs.
We become even-tempered, calmer and more joyful.
We learn to make better choices and to spend our money wisely.
The list goes on and on. There is much to be learned in every stage of the journey. As you make new discoveries, record it in your joy journal so when you experience a rut or make a detour, you can re-read your list of discoveries and get back on the road.
Camille and Sylvia, we are happy that you are making new discoveries as you go through transition and maintenance. Mike, others and I who have gone before you are standing by to assist you all as needed.
